Job Summary
A company is looking for an Outpatient Clinical Documentation Integrity Educator.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct provider medical record audits and analyze practice patterns to ensure accurate CMS payment and improve quality of care
- Develop and deliver coding and billing training for physicians, coders, and other personnel, including curriculum and competency assessments
- Perform quality assurance reviews/audits and monitor coding and billing regulations for compliance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Education, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field is required
- 3 years of Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding experience is required
- Experience in a managed care environment working with providers on clinical documentation and coding is required
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) is required within 12 months of hire
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is preferred
