Inpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Auditor and Appeals.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and extract case details from patient medical records and craft appeal letters
• Ensure timely completion of cases while maintaining high-quality reviews
• Support the development of appeal arguments using coding guidelines and clinical data

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma / GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 2+ years of inpatient coding experience in a hospital setting
• 1+ years of experience with DRG methodology
• One of the following Coding Certifications required: CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CDIP, CCDS
• Understanding of HIPAA confidentiality requirements
