Inpatient Coding Compliance Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Compliance Coordinator (remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist coders and documentation management staff with complex patient care cases by analyzing documentation and discussing code assignment
• Review medical records for patterns of coding errors and opportunities for education
• Serve as a technical expert/resource for accurate and ethical coding and documentation standards

Required Qualifications

• University Degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for education)
• Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CPC-H
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Health Information Management program is preferred
