Interior Book Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Designer, Interiors to join their interior book design team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of interior 1-color book design, including consultation and follow-through to bound book
• Creates design work for book interiors, including conversions and original designs
• Generates composition of rough first pass, reviews subsequent passes, marks corrections, and reviews proofs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in 1-color print book publishing
• Mastery of Adobe InDesign in Mac OS
• Mastery of typography and the printing process
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
• Familiarity with manuscript tagging or HTML is a plus
