Lead Dimensional Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Dimensional Engineer responsible for the overall dimensional strategy of the vehicle assembly.

Key Responsibilities

• Set fit and finish targets and strategies with design and engineering teams
• Ensure ease of assembly for all vehicle components in a production setting
• Troubleshoot dimensional issues in vehicle design and builds, and assist with supplier issues

Required Qualifications

• Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Practical knowledge of various vehicle components and tolerance requirements
• Ability to perform dimensional studies and recommend/purchase necessary software
• Experience working with a team of dimensional engineers, both internal and external
• Willingness to travel for onsite builds or supplier visits as needed
