Lead Pharmacy Operations Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Pharmacy Operations Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates expert knowledge of Pharmacy Operations policies and procedures
• Serves as a subject matter expert for escalated issues and interprets complex prior authorization requests
• Mentors Pharmacy Operations Specialists and maintains quality and performance levels

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Two or more years of experience in a professional or pharmacy setting
• Two or more years of experience in prior authorization processing
• Certified pharmacy technician preferred
• Previous experience in a managed care environment preferred
