Lead Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Security Engineer to embed secure development practices across engineering teams and lead key AppSec initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle
• Lead the development and execution of the application security roadmap, including secure code reviews and threat modeling
• Drive the adoption of security tooling and automation in CI/CD pipelines

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering or software engineering with a focus on application security
• Experience with development teams in high-growth or cloud-native environments
• Strong experience securing Kubernetes-based infrastructure in public cloud environments
• Proven ability to lead without direct authority and influence security outcomes
• Practical understanding of web app and API security, threat modeling, and secure software patterns
