Lead Software Engineer-COBOL

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Software Engineer-COBOL (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team in the design, development, and implementation of software applications, ensuring compliance with standards and practices
• Identify requirements gaps, evaluate risks, and recommend improvements for system performance and availability
• Serve as the technical team lead, managing resources and guiding project design to meet client needs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• 8 years of experience in software design, development, and evaluation
• Proficient in programming languages, specifically COBOL
• Experience with cloud technologies and database technologies
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
