Medical Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist (Fully Remote).

Key Responsibilities:

• Review medical record documentation and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT IV codes
• Perform medical necessity checks for Medicare and other payers as required
• Collaborate with revenue cycle teams to resolve coding issues related to claim denials

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of previous medical coding experience
• Knowledge and experience with PC and Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with EPIC and coding software tools
• Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards
• Familiarity with current CMS requirements and coding guidelines
