Medical Director - Texas Licensed

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Director - Post-Acute Care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily utilization oversight and external communication with network physicians and hospitals
• Conduct peer-to-peer conversations for clinical case reviews and manage provider telephonic discussions
• Develop action plans and programs to implement strategic initiatives and monitor progress toward goals

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized accredited medical school
• Current, unrestricted medical license and residency in the United States
• Board certified in a recognized ABMS specialty
• 3+ years of experience in an acute inpatient environment with managed care organizations
• Proven understanding of population-based medicine, particularly with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial populations
