Job Summary
A company is looking for a Medical Policy Writer.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, approve, and maintain Utilization Management process documents to ensure compliance
- Research, write, and edit UM Clinical Guidelines, collaborating with Clinical Subject Matter Experts
- Oversee Clinical Guideline Committee meetings and support the Medical Policy team on various projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or 4+ years of medical writing experience; Master's degree or PhD also considered
- 2+ years of healthcare experience
- Experience in medical research and/or medical writing
- Ability to integrate feedback from diverse operational groups into written products
- Preferred knowledge of NCQA, URAC, and CMS regulations
