Medical Policy Writer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Policy Writer.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, approve, and maintain Utilization Management process documents to ensure compliance
• Research, write, and edit UM Clinical Guidelines, collaborating with Clinical Subject Matter Experts
• Oversee Clinical Guideline Committee meetings and support the Medical Policy team on various projects

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 4+ years of medical writing experience; Master's degree or PhD also considered
• 2+ years of healthcare experience
• Experience in medical research and/or medical writing
• Ability to integrate feedback from diverse operational groups into written products
• Preferred knowledge of NCQA, URAC, and CMS regulations
