Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Clinical Documentation Specialist in Utilization Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate comprehensive medical record documentation by communicating with healthcare team members
- Evaluate documentation by medical staff and analyze information pertinent to documentation findings
- Provide education on compliance, coding, and clinical documentation issues to internal customers
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred; Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred
- Minimum of five years of clinical practice experience required
- Knowledge and experience in case management, utilization management, and/or coding highly preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state
- Must obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications
