Remote Outpatient CDI Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Supervisor of Outpatient CDI, responsible for enhancing the quality of medical record documentation for outpatient encounters.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate the quality and completeness of medical record documentation through collaboration with physicians, coders, and clinical staff
• Conduct evaluations of medical records to improve documentation results and ensure accurate representation of patient complexity
• Identify opportunities for improvement based on knowledge of national coding guidelines and compliance standards

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3 or more years of HCC coding experience required
• 5 or more years of experience in clinical, CDI, or coding fields required
• Preferred certifications include Registered Nurse (RN), CCDS, CDIP, RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CRC, or CCS
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and HCC coding guidelines is essential
