Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Engineer, Fuel Performance and Development.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thermo-mechanical analysis of fuel rods and core components to support design and testing activities
- Develop fuel and material models, and compose technical documents for core/reactor design and licensing
- Support irradiation testing by conducting fuel performance assessments and preparing test plans and reports
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in fuel performance modeling or thermo-mechanical analysis
- Strong skills in finite element methods, heat transfer, and solid mechanics
- Experience with numerical methods and computational algorithms, including FEA codes like ABAQUS or ANSYS
- Proficiency in programming languages such as PYTHON or FORTRAN
