Job Summary
A company is looking for an Operating System Specialist to support the USPS Network and Compute Technology group.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide incident and deployment support for multiple server operating systems, including Unix, Linux, and Windows
- Manage incident response via the USPS ServiceNow application and perform technical leadership in incident response and maintenance
- Develop and implement procedures for proactive problem detection, disaster recovery, and project management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of systems support experience or equivalent experience
- Prior experience with middle tier technologies and complex Oracle RDBMS environments
- Strong knowledge and experience with UNIX and Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Experience in administering servers in a large, multi-datacenter environment
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required to obtain USPS Public Trust clearance
