Job Summary

A company is looking for an Overdose Helpline Operator, General Internal Medicine (per diem).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls from individuals seeking assistance and provide immediate guidance on overdose recognition and response
• Connect callers with local resources, including treatment centers and support groups, to promote long-term recovery
• Document each phone call interaction and collaborate with other professionals to ensure effective intervention

Required Qualifications

• No formal education requirement
• Relevant lived experience with overdose, harm reduction, or substance use preferred
• Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations with empathy and professionalism
• Technological proficiency in using helpline software and databases
• Strict adherence to confidentiality policies regarding caller information
