Key Responsibilities
- Completes billing activities and claims according to regulations and guidelines
- Reviews denial trends and insurance credit balances to resolve accounts
- Processes electronic remittances and communicates with payers regarding account status
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- One year of experience in financial services or healthcare business office required
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
- Prior experience with healthcare computer systems, especially Epic billing, preferred
- Ability to sit for long periods and perform occasional lifting up to 10 pounds
