Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder I - Risk Adjustment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records to identify diagnosis codes for inpatient and outpatient encounters
• Translate diagnostic phrases into coded form using Encoder software
• Assign codes based on coding guidelines and update historical file data

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required; Graduate from Specialty Training Program preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience required
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) is required
