Physical Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Physical Engineer for a part-time remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the assessment of projects related to risks to electric transmission and distribution systems
• Develop requirements and objectives for initiatives addressing physical security and natural hazard threats in the energy sector
• Attend meetings and perform technical reviews to document key technical issues and outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's or PhD preferred)
• Prior clearance and/or experience with federal government or defense preferred
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in engineering tasks related to energy sector risk mitigation
• Experience with electromagnetic interference and natural hazards affecting electric transmission systems
• Knowledge of the impact of artificial intelligence and seismic phenomena on energy resources
