Platform Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Platform Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs in a fully remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible for automating infrastructure provisioning
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance, implementing alerting systems and optimizing resource usage

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related discipline
• 5 years of relevant experience; degree may substitute for 8 years of experience
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation tasks
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
