Principal API Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal API Engineer to drive development of the control plane behind a Zero Trust platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the API as a product and collaborate with engineers on a pragmatic plan
• Ensure API security and maintain up-to-date API documentation
• Mentor a growing team and provide insights on CI/CD/CT practices

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
• Deep expertise in API design, Go programming, and distributed systems
• Strong experience with SaaS application development and secure cloud-native design
• Experience in leadership roles, including mentoring or managing distributed engineering teams
