Principal Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer to lead its Core Engineering teams and shape the engineering architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Articulate a vision for the service architecture and define a platform roadmap
• Act as a liaison between engineering teams across various products and technologies
• Coach and mentor engineering leaders while fostering a collaborative culture

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience at a Staff+ level in building and operating production-grade web services
• Experience with data stores such as CockroachDB or Aurora PostgreSQL
• Experience in building serverless architecture within a larger service landscape
• Familiarity with authentication and transport protocols like OAuth and REST
• Ability to track and drive metrics related to engineering performance
