Public Trust z/OS Systems Programmer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a z/OS Mainframe Systems Programmer to provide full lifecycle support for mainframe infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day systems programming support for z/OS and related IBM and third-party products
• Install, configure, and upgrade IBM z/OS components and support enterprise servers across multiple generations of processors
• Administer and optimize storage management and perform system performance monitoring and tuning

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Recent hands-on experience with z/OS 2.5 and/or z/OS 3.1 within the last 6 months
• 10+ years of experience as a z/OS Systems Programmer in large enterprise environments
• Strong expertise with Sysplex, Coupling Facility, JES2, SMP/E, and other related technologies
• Proficiency in COBOL, Assembler, and REXX for utilities and automation
