Job Summary
A company is looking for an Animation Engineer to develop scalable character animation systems in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain native animation instances for characters and runtime systems
- Collaborate with Tech Animation to refine data definitions and modular character build logic
- Drive and optimize secondary motion systems and improve animation system scalability across platforms
Required Qualifications
- Expert-level C++ experience with real-time, performance-sensitive systems
- Proven experience with real-time animation systems in Unreal or similar AAA engines
- Deep knowledge of skeletal animation, blending, and state machines
- Strong math foundation including linear algebra and motion/physics integration
- Familiarity with modular character systems and technical considerations of multiplayer animation systems is beneficial
