Key Responsibilities
- Contact insurance companies to verify patient benefits and document coverage specifics
- Triages cases with missing information and initiates prior authorization processes as needed
- Completes quality reviews of work and reports reimbursement trends to management
Required Qualifications and Education
- High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree is preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in customer service, medical billing and coding, or benefits verification
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience in healthcare or business administration is beneficial
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
