Case Underwriter III

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Case Underwriter III responsible for providing timely and accurate underwriting offers while adhering to pricing and profit objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Processes, reviews, analyzes, and makes informed underwriting decisions for assigned territory
• Negotiates non-standard broker arrangements and collaborates with sales to develop competitive proposal offers
• Investigates and responds to complex underwriting inquiries, coordinating with multiple internal departments as necessary

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and/or 4 - 6 years of related experience OR High School Diploma or GED with 6 - 8 years of related experience
• Underwriting authority of a maximum of 7,500 life cases or $750,000 of annualized premium
• Experience in training and mentoring less experienced underwriters
• Ability to effectively explain underwriting processes and rules
• Familiarity with enrollment company strengths and weaknesses
