Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an ED Coder (Coding Specialist III).

Key Responsibilities

• Coding complex surgical procedures and specialized services with a minimum accuracy of 95%
• Reviewing clinical documentation to ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid regulations and proper coding assignments
• Providing technical expertise on billing issues and mentoring new coders

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 4 years of professional or hospital coding experience
• Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT)
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT coding, and federal/state billing laws
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
