Clinical Referral Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Referral Specialist I with Epic specialty scheduling experience highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for referral orders and facilitate access to medical services
• Schedule complex specialty appointments and communicate pre and post appointment instructions to patients
• Document all scheduling attempts in the electronic health record and notify providers of any changes

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Graduate
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in a medical group with a focus on patient care coordination
• Experience in Epic specialty scheduling preferred
• Knowledge of clinical processes, medical terminology, and patient-focused software systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide excellent customer service
