Computational Scientist in Genetics

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Computational Scientist: Human Genetics.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scientists to analyze large datasets of genetic, genomic, and clinical data
• Develop analytical approaches to integrate and interpret data, providing insights into disease biology
• Document processes, findings, and code, and present findings to the department and collaborators

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in large-scale genetic/genomic data analysis
• PhD (or Masters with significant experience) in a relevant field such as Statistical Genetics or Computational Biology
• Fluency in R, Python, and shell scripting; familiarity with C++ is a plus
• Experience with git and high-performance computing
• Ability to produce high-quality analysis results with minimal supervision
