Computational Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Computational Scientist: Human Genetics.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scientists to analyze large datasets of genetic, genomic, and clinical data
• Develop analytical approaches to integrate and interpret data for insights into disease biology
• Document processes, findings, and code, and present results to the department and collaborators

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Statistical Genetics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field; Master's with significant experience may be considered
• Proficient in programming with R and Python
• Experience working with biobank data and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Solid knowledge of command line interface (Bash) and software engineering practices
• Experience with workflow management systems such as WDL or Nextflow
