Cybersecurity Assistant General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant General Counsel, Cybersecurity (Remote).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support for cybersecurity incidents, compliance, and contract negotiations
• Stay updated on evolving laws and regulations in cybersecurity, privacy, AI, and data governance
• Collaborate with IT, risk, and privacy professionals to refine cybersecurity policies and best practices

Required Qualifications:

• Hold a Juris Doctorate from a top-tier law school
• Maintain an active law license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Possess at least seven years of experience in cybersecurity law
• Demonstrate expertise in cybersecurity best practices and incident response
• Show experience handling investigations and working with agencies like the DOJ or state Attorneys General
