Director of Platform Architecture

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Platform and Architecture to lead their platform evolution and ensure infrastructure reliability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve platform architecture, focusing on performance, stability, and scalability
• Drive improvements in observability and runtime performance while setting architectural guardrails
• Lead a team of engineers and collaborate across functions to deliver platform solutions

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in backend/platform/infrastructure roles in high-scale SaaS environments
• 5+ years in a staff, principal, or engineering leadership role
• Experience designing resilient distributed systems and scaling critical infrastructure
• Deep knowledge of distributed SQL, eventing systems, GCP, Kubernetes, and cloud-native deployments
• Track record of improving developer experience at scale
