Director of Spatial Data Science

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Spatial Data Science.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the scientific vision for the integration of satellite, UAV, ground, and IoT sensor data into a unified spatial analytics framework
• Own remote-sensing data strategy, manage data acquisition, and oversee large-scale data archives
• Lead the design and deployment of ML & AI models for feature extraction from various data sources

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in remote sensing and geospatial analytics; 5+ years in leadership roles
• Deep expertise in satellite and aerial imagery, LiDAR, and multispectral/hyperspectral data
• Strong experience with machine learning tools and libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Proficiency in programming with Python and familiarity with cloud-native pipelines
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Remote Sensing, Geomatics, Computer Science, or a related field; PhD is a plus
