Job Summary
A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist who will ensure financial clearance is obtained prior to services being rendered.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify insurance benefits for new patients before initial evaluations
- Obtain and monitor authorizations for services as required by insurance plans
- Ensure accurate entry of patient demographics and insurance benefits in the EMR
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- 1-2 years of financial clearance experience in a medical or health setting preferred
- Strong computer skills relevant to the position, including experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other government assistance programs and regulations
