Financial Counselor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Counselor, Contractor Conversion.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily financial counseling workflows, including running schedules, cost estimates, and collecting payments
• Monitor and collect outstanding patient balances and complete applications for financial assistance
• Coordinate educational calls with patients regarding their insurance and assistance options

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year experience in financial counseling or budget/credit analysis
• 2 years' experience in a medical office setting preferred
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT codes
• Strong competency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
