Job Summary
A company is looking for a Military Health Economist to analyze healthcare datasets and contribute to data-driven policy and clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement statistical and economic models to evaluate healthcare interventions, costs, and outcomes
- Conduct cost-effectiveness, cost-benefit, and budget impact analyses using healthcare utilization and claims data
- Analyze large datasets from electronic health records (EHRs), claims, surveys, and other sources to identify trends and outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in health economics, Biostatistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field
- 5+ years of experience conducting health economic and/or statistical analyses in a public health or healthcare setting
- Proficiency in statistical software such as R, SAS, Stata, or Python
- Experience working with healthcare datasets, including claims, EHR, or survey data
- Knowledge of healthcare financing, delivery systems, and outcomes measurement
