Health Information Management Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Technician II.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and review medical charts to ensure compliance with billing and accreditation standards
• Manage the release of protected health information and ensure proper documentation and validation
• Convert paper records to optical imaging and ensure accuracy in medical records processing

Required Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent with two years of HIM experience, or an Associate's Degree in Health Information Management (HIM)
• Eligibility to take the Registered Health Information Technicians Examination
• Consideration for applicants in their second year of a HIT program or related field
• Preferred graduation from an accredited program in Health Information Technology (HIT)
