HIPAA Privacy Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Privacy Manager to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain privacy policies and training programs in line with laws and best practices
• Conduct privacy risk assessments and manage the incident response lifecycle for privacy incidents
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles and support privacy audits

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Healthcare Administration or Legal Studies
• 3-5 years of experience in privacy compliance within the healthcare industry, preferably in payer or health plan roles
• In-depth knowledge of HIPAA and familiarity with other privacy regulations like GDPR and state-specific laws
• Experience in privacy incident response and collaboration with information security teams
• Experience with audit readiness and SOC 2 preparation is a plus
