Job Summary
A company is looking for a Peer Recovery Support Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts member substance misuse assessments and develops recovery and treatment plans
- Assesses, plans, implements, monitors, and evaluates options to meet the needs of members with substance use disorders
- Identifies community resources and support linkages to assist members in achieving their recovery goals
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High School Diploma / GED required
- 2+ years of experience working with vulnerable populations with complex bio-psychosocial needs
- Peer Recovery Support Certification required
- 60 contact hours of peer recovery-focused education and training, including specific areas of study
- At least six hours of ethics education and training and six hours of HIV/other pathogens education within the last six years
