A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all pre-service accounts are financially cleared prior to the date of service
- Obtain and verify accurate insurance information, benefit validation, and preservice collections
- Communicate with patients and physician offices regarding authorization and referral requirements
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years of financial clearance experience in an acute care setting
- NAHAM CHAA or AAHAM CRCS certification preferred
- Proficient in Patient Registration/Patient Accounting systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to expedite the registration process
