Lead Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Software Engineer for Drone Imagery Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive product development by defining priorities, implementing solutions, and testing with users
• Continue backend API development using Python and FastAPI, improving modules for drone flightplan generation and interfacing with geospatial file formats
• Enhance frontend development of the Drone Tasking Manager web-app using TypeScript, focusing on user experience and community feedback

Required Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of demonstrated experience in software development across all product aspects
• Rich understanding of open data and open source technology environments
• Experience with remote sensing products and raster data
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
• Passionate about technologies for the greater good
