Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Review Clinician - Behavioral Health.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate members' treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness
• Perform prior authorization and concurrent reviews related to mental health and substance abuse
• Provide education to providers and members regarding the behavioral health utilization process

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school or bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of related experience
• Master's degree for behavioral health clinicians is required
• License to practice independently in the relevant state is required
• Clinical knowledge related to mental health and substance abuse treatment plans is preferred
• Experience working with healthcare providers in mental health and substance abuse settings is preferred
