Medicare Accounts Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medicare Patient Accounts specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and resolve unpaid or underpaid Medicare insurance claims through various actions including remits, EOB reviews, and rebilling
• Utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to identify root causes of underpayments and follow documented procedures for resolution
• Maintain positive relationships with clinical personnel and payer representatives while ensuring timely and accurate claim resolutions

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote
• Computer competency including typing and basic troubleshooting
• Healthcare experience, especially in insurance or revenue cycle, is preferred
• Experience in insurance claim collections is a plus
