Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Service Line Specialty Coder (Non-Exempt).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical record documentation to assign diagnoses and procedure codes
• Achieve departmental benchmarks for productivity and quality
• Adhere to ethical coding standards and official coding guidelines

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of coding experience, focusing on cardiovascular and neurology specialties
• Certification as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CPC
• A.S. or B.S. from an accredited Health Information program preferred
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding systems and Microsoft Office products
