Job Summary
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Coordinator - Remote (Full-Time).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records to assess the utilization and documentation of acute care services
- Facilitate appropriate physician documentation to accurately reflect patient severity of illness and risk of mortality
- Ensure compliance with external payer and regulatory agency requirements while supporting quality care outcomes and reimbursement accuracy
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent international medical qualification
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience in an acute care setting, preferably in critical care, medical/surgical, or Emergency Department nursing
- Current RN license in the state of practice if applicable
- Proficiency in computer applications including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
- Knowledge of inpatient admission criteria and Medicare reimbursement systems preferred
