A company is looking for a Collections Specialist (Credit Counselor) to assist in providing outstanding service to members while managing delinquent accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact delinquent account holders to cure defaults and maintain accurate documentation of collection efforts
- Analyze financial situations of delinquent borrowers and recommend appropriate solutions
- Promote member education on credit union products and services to enhance member experience
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- One to three years of related experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of loan, deposit, and collections platforms
- Familiarity with Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies and repossession processes
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
