Non-QM Underwriter Team Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Credit Union Underwriter Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of 8-10 Non-QM underwriters, ensuring quality aligns with guidelines
• Underwrite complex Non-QM loans and serve as an escalation point for exceptions and approvals
• Monitor pipeline metrics, conduct peer reviews, and assist in onboarding new underwriters

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of Non-QM mortgage underwriting experience with a strong command of relevant loan products
• Demonstrated leadership ability or experience managing/mentoring underwriters
• Strong manual underwriting skills and proficiency in complex income analysis
• Familiarity with LOS platforms such as Meridian Link or Lending QB
• In-depth understanding of investor overlays, compliance regulations, and Non-QM market trends
