Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Access Advocate I.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient registration functions, including updating demographics and verifying insurance
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients with insurance benefits and liabilities
- Ensure accounts are financially cleared at the time of service and maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting or 1 year in customer service
- Must pass the Patient Access Academy with a score of 85% or higher within 6 months of starting
- Certification such as CHAA or CHAM is preferred
- Basic understanding of insurance and medical terminology preferred
