Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Access Advocate I.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient registration functions, including updating demographics and verifying insurance
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients with insurance benefits and liabilities
  • Ensure accounts are financially cleared at the time of service and maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting or 1 year in customer service
  • Must pass the Patient Access Academy with a score of 85% or higher within 6 months of starting
  • Certification such as CHAA or CHAM is preferred
  • Basic understanding of insurance and medical terminology preferred
