A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative responsible for collections, account follow-up, and billing allowance posting.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with payers to ensure timely resolution of outstanding claims
- Monitor and update patient and financial information for accuracy
- Analyze and resolve issues causing payer payment delays, initiating appeals when necessary
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2-3 years' experience in insurance collections and hospital/facility billing
- Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing, including ICD-9/10 and CPT codes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Understanding of government, Medicare, and Medicaid claims
