Prior Authorization Pharmacist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Prior Authorization Pharmacist (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform case reviews for prior authorizations
• Complete Peer-to-Peer reviews with healthcare professionals regarding outcomes of prior authorizations
• Provide a high-quality review of requested medication with clear notes of determination

Required Qualifications

• PharmD degree and pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum two years of experience as a pharmacist preferred
• Strong working knowledge of medical insurance terminology and processes
• Willingness to obtain additional state licensure as required for the position
• Pharmacy Benefit Management experience preferred
